26 km riverside loop connecting Centum, Gwangan, and the Suyeong River with just two stressful crossings and real GPX guidance for night rides.
26 km•210 m•75–95 min•Oct 12, 2025
Why we ride it
This loop strings together the safest paved waterfront in Busan while deliberately steering clear of the riverfront festival chaos that tourists expect. It is a training-friendly pace line before sunrise, but the GPX detours also keep you away from three recurring construction pits.
Shoulders stay >4 m for most of the river which makes two-up riding realistic.
Quick bail-outs to Centum City and the subway every 3–4 km.
Plenty of lighting until 23:00, after that bring a front light with at least 700 lumens for the dredging sections.
Hazards & etiquette
Bridge seams: Gwangan Bridge underpass has exposed grates on rainy days. Keep it under 25 km/h.
Tour buses: Between 09:00–11:00 the Centum museum coaches block the path. Follow the GPX to drop into the service alley instead.
Anglers: After midnight you will see portable fishing tents near Millak. Call out early, the rods sit at headset height.
Post-ride logistics
Showers: Busan Citizens Park gym (showers ₩1,000, 06:00–22:00).
Bike service: Giant Store Centum (closes 20:00, has tubeless sealant and presta stems).
Coffee: Shelter Cafe behind Suyeong station opens 07:00 with racks indoors.
If you discover a new closure, drop a note in routes@cyclingbusan.org so we can update the detours within 24h.
