City Hall confirmed a 38% year-over-year increase, including ring-road bollards and permanent counters for the Oncheoncheon.

Impact 42.3 billion won earmarked for separated infra and maintenance crews.
Busan Metropolitan Council approved the 2026 mobility package after three rounds of amendments. Here are the bike-specific line items that matter to everyday riders.
1. Ring-road bollards get a refresh
- ₩8.1B covers the 32 km stretch from Dadaepo to Sajik.
- Poly bollards will be replaced with aluminum cores, meaning fewer snap-offs when taxis use them as brake markers.
2. Oncheoncheon counters become permanent
- Three solar-powered counters arrive in Q2.
- Raw data will be made public through the city GIS portal; we will build a dashboard template once the API goes live.
3. Maintenance crews funded year-round
- 12-person crews are budgeted to sweep sand after typhoons.
- Expect the first call-outs this March; we will share the hotline the moment it is staffed.
We will update this post once procurement schedules are published. If you want to lobby for your neighborhood, drop by the Mobility Lab open office (every other Thursday, 19:00, City Hall Annex 3F).
